After months of deliberation and observation, the OUA Board of Directors have decided to cancel all OUA sporting events until March 31, 2021.

The news comes after a steady increase of Covid-19 Cases in Ontario over the past month. OUA President and CEO, Gord Grace stated, “we are not yet at a place where [OUA competition] can occur safely.” 

Ontario has seen over 10,000 new cases in the past 2 weeks, and hit a new single-day high last friday with 939 new cases.

Universities will still be permitted to continue their return to training initiatives, and come January 1, universities will be able to organize exhibition games, as long as they coordinate the safety of the event with their regional public health departments.
