Knights Win Family Day Affair

Stefan Nichol

The Knights got off to an early start with #80 Alex Formenton netting his 19th of the season a mere 46 seconds into the game. A minute later #18 Liam Foudy rang one off the post, and Popov had an excellent opportunity taken away by Windsor goaltender #64 DiPietro. From there both teams settled into the game.

The second period also got off to a quick start with #2 Evan Bouchard firing a rocket passed the Windsor netminder in the dying seconds of a powerplay. The Spitfires, however, were not about to roll over, bouncing back with a goal of their own from #61 Boka at 7:41. Late in the period DiPietro made two huge saves, first off Foudy, then the rebound from #76 Moskal, to keep it a one-goal game.
