Ontario reported 1400 cases today and has put several regions into the red "control" zone today including Hamilton, Peel, Toronto, and York.
Locally, Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) reported nine new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
The entire London region and surrounding counties have been moved up a category to the "yellow zone" as the province tries to lower rising COVID-19 cases in Ontario

One of London’s iconic strip clubs has been reborn as a furniture shop.
The Beef Baron was forced to close its door in September after the province ordered all strip joints shut down indefinitely as part of a raft of new measures to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Meanwhile in neighbouring Port Dover, bikers descended from across South Western Ontario as part of the iconic pilgrimage for Friday the 13th.
In St.Thomas, Ontario, an anti-mask rally is brewing up a storm. This rally is planned for the town of St. Thomas on Saturday with people expected to gather at Memorial Arena and travel northbound along the Whistle Stop Trail to Moore Street.
The London Jr. Knights will eliminate spectators from all games and practices for at least the next two weeks.
The elite local minor hockey organization implemented the drastic measures after an emergency board meeting Thursday to “save the season” amid fears of COVID-19 spread and growing concern that a dramatic increase in London-Middlesex cases could lead to a provincial downgrade.
Last week, the Jr. Knights crisis team was notified that a member of the club had tested positive for the virus.
