Ivey Business School Discontinues Proctortrack for Fall Term
Ivey Business School has opted out of using Proctortrack for the remainder of first-semester exams and tests.
On Friday, Ivey instructed students to remove Proctortrack from their computers instead opting to use alternatives such as Zoom and TurnItIn.
The decision stands at odds with the main campus which chose to reinstate Proctortrack on Thursday, after a security breach on Oct. 13 suspended the e-proctoring software’s services for nearly a week.
The changes at Ivey come amid a campaign backed by over 10,000 Western students demanding the permanent suspension of Proctortrack.
At the moment it is unclear whether Ivey will resume use of Proctortrack in the winter semester.
