In Rainbow Radio's constant search for LGBT2Q+ music we come across dozens of articles, video playlists and blogs. Finding a music resource devoted the Queer music is hard but Homoground is our latest find to make things easier!

Billing itself as a network of queer music & media creators, Homoground promotes queer visibility through music, videos, podcasts, events & other creative forms of multimedia.

Uniting Queer Musicians and Music lovers

Created by media activist, Lynn Casper, Homoground launched its first podcast episode in 2011 and, since then, the podcast has showcased more than 1,000 bands across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. It's become a home to queer talent who may not make it into mainstream music or airwaves. The podcast was created to bring exposure and access to queer bands, especially to those who live in isolated communities. Homoground is working to create a network of queer musicians and music lovers.

Alongside the usual episodes, Homoground features videos created by LGBTQ+ and allied musicians and videographers, a listing of queer-related events nearby in the US and has launched a TV show with BRIC TV. Episodes of which are available on Vimeo.
