    Radio Western Alumni - Adrienne Arsenault

    Adrienne began her career in broadcasting at CHRW Radio Western and is best known today for her position as the Cheif London correspondent for the Canadian broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Arsenault joined the CBC in 1991 as an editorial assistant for CBC Toronto. Since then, in 2005, she was been named the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association's journalist of the year. 

  • Daniel Shulman

    Radio Western - Alumni Profile Image

    Daniel was a broadcaster on CHRW Radio for Western football and basketball. Shulman later worked for TSN as a play-by-play voice for the Toronto Blue Jays, and by 2001 he was working for ESPN and covered various sporting events such as baseball, college basketball, and occasional hockey games. Shulman remains the network's lead announcer for NCAA basketball and in 2011 he was named 'National Sportscaster of the Year'. 

  • Kevin Newman

    Radio Western - Alumni Profile Image

    Kevinhas broadcasted many of the Western Mustang football games, including the very first Mustang football broadcast. After graduation he got his first job as a reporter for Global Ontario. Five years later he began working for CTV, with the station he is most famously known to work for today. Newman also worked for stations such as CBC, World News Now, Good Morning America, and Global National. Newman has won many awards and was recently awarded by Western University with an Honourary Doctorate of Laws in June 2011. 

  • Stephen Brunt

    Radio Western Alumni - Stephen Brunt

    Stephen is known today for his position as a leading columnist for The Globe and Mail and as a co-host on Prime Time Sports. Brunt began at The Globe as an intern in 1982 and began to write for the sports section in 1985. His book, Facing Ali, which was published in 2004, was also named one of the ten best sports books of the year by Sports Illustrated.
