Join us for an evening of Miss Chief, artist Kent Monkman’s time-travelling, gender-fluid alter ego.
Take a curator tour of the exhibition Shame and Prejudice: A Story of Resilience: a journey through colonialism in Canadian paintings & artifacts as seen through the eyes of Miss Chief.
Then watch a screening of 5 short films including a North American ‘Indian’ dance remix, the coming out story of a Native teenager, & parodies of the ‘noble savage’ stereotype.
6:30pm - Curator Tour - FREE
7:30pm - Film Screening - $5 (Advance) & $10 (Door)
