COVID UPDATE
For the first time July 21, Ontario reported more than 200 cases today. This increase in reported cases was also accompanied by an increase in tests Data shows more than 32,500 tests were completed by public health units across the province.


CAMPUS:
New funding from the Ontario COVID-19 Rapid Research Fund is enabling a team of researchers across Ontario led by Western professor Grace Parraga. 


LOCAL:
A Canadian company says it has developed a wall-mounted device that detects the presence of the novel coronavirus in the air and triggers an alert system to warn of the detection. One scientist who has reviewed the product suggests it works. 
 

SPORTS:
Curling Canada has cancelled six more events in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.


WEATHER:
Continuing in the trend of sunny days, today and tomorrow will see plenty of sun. Tomorrow will be slightly hotter with an afternoon high of 30 and overnight low of 20. Sunday there is a good chance of thunderstorms. Heading into next week, the weather will return to it’s pleasantly sunny trend with Monday and Tuesday having daytime highs of 20 and overnight lows of 10.
