  • Kings’ University College is set to open four new apartment style residence buildings this Fall.

  • Located near the University Main Gates, these apartments will cost $8,900 for 8 months, and are being leased in response to demands for upper year housing.

  • Students with disabilities will be accommodated under accessibility and support services if they are interested in the rooms.



  • Pastor Dan Morand of Beth Emmanuel Church and his Urban Haven Project plans to set up tents for homeless men on the church’s property.

  • The program is run with private money that will be used to purchase tents, which will hold 15-20 people and have space heaters.

  • There has been a complaint to the city about the project, but Morand has assured the public that concerns are unfounded.

  • Oneida Nation of the Thames continues to have unsafe drinking water. It has routinely fallen short of provincial standards since 2006.

  • Testing through the years has sometimes shown dangerous E.Coli amounts and other dangerous pathogens.

  • Despite investigations from Ryerson and Concordia Universities, Indigenous Services Canada officials deny the presence of unsafe drinking water.
